Introducing THORLABS Optogenetics Starter Kit, a complete kit contains all that you will need to setup and conduct optogenetics experiments in vivo to control the activity of individual neuron.
The Optogenetics Starter Kit is composed of a fiber-coupled LED driver, light weight patch cable, twenty cannulae, five cannula connectors, and DC2100 software. Variable wavelength LED drivers are available (additional features and accessories are available for purchase separately).
The DC2100 can operate in three different modes, Constant Current Mode, Pulse-Width Modulation Mode (PWM), or External Control Mode, giving the researcher further flexibility depending on subject of research. Furthermore, the DC2100 software can be controlled remotely through a powerful yet easy to use software.
The Optogenetics Starter Kit is fully compatible and controllable by Blackrock Microsystems™ Cerebus™ System to integrate optogenetic stimulation with electrophysiology recording. This integrated setup allows for optical stimulation to be triggered in real-time based on neural events, analog or digital triggers, control system events, video tracking events, or other user controlled inputs. Furthermore, when used with the Blackrock Microsystems™ Cerebus™ System, the high precision control over voltage amplitude and duration of the stimulation waveform allows all of your optical stimulation needs.
